Brazil Defeats South Korea and Enters the Quarterfinals of FIFA World Cup 2022

Brazil beat South Korea 4-1 in a recent match at Doha’s Stadium 974 to move on to the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Brazil scored four goals in the first half against South Korea, while Korean player Paik Seungho scored one goal in the second half. The first leading goal for Brazil was from Vinicius Jr., following another hit by Neymar, who scored from the penalty. Richarlison then scored a striking third goal, and the last goal by Lucas Paqueta took the team towards glory.

Brazilian talisman Neymar was in full form to beat the opponents and secure a spot in the last eight. In response to the victory, Neyman stated that the team was dreaming of the title and that it was the fourth game of the tournament, with three more games remaining to win the championship. So they are focused on getting the title. Pele was also among the viewers to witness the spectacular performance of an irrepressible Brazil. 

The five-time champions Brazil shockingly underperformed in the present tournament, as they were unable to score in the first half of any match. In this match against Korea, Brazil came back roaring and scored four goals in the first half, justifying their championship.  

The Brazilians were brilliant in attack and well-organized in defense, preventing the South Koreans from taking long shots. It was impressive to see one of the best plays of the tournament, as the Brazilian team had scored 3-0 by the end of the first half. Brazil will have its next encounter with Croatia in the quarterfinal match on Friday. 

Croatia earlier stamped their spot in the World Cup 2022 quarterfinals by smashing Japan 3-1 on penalties after both teams were level at 1-1 in the round of 16 at the Al-Janoub Stadium, Qatar. Brazil and Croatia will play in the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 3 p.m. GMT. The game will be held at the Education City Stadium in Al-Rayyan.
