Gasoline-powered vehicles on the other hand utilize a much different system that incorporates the use of transmissions and transfer cases to transfer the power to the wheels. The transmission translates the power from the engine to the rear wheels (typically) and the transfer case, when used, engages the front wheels and this is what the modern four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive systems look like in conventional vehicles.

The torque of these types of vehicles can also be determined by the battery. These vehicles use a small amount of battery power to maintain their momentum rather than using onboard motors. For this reason, the battery is the most critical component. It is vitally important that the vehicle always uses a full charge of its batteries. Otherwise, the vehicle’s momentum can be lost in favor of the batteries. 

All wheel drive vehicles do require a certain level of skill to drive. In addition, they are not for everyone. You must also have reasonable expectations about the speed at which the vehicle will move.
